Master of Science in Bioengineering schedule


1st term: 18 credits of courses


2nd term: 12 credits of courses + 6 credits for thesis work. Thesis proposal presentation and defence.


3rd term: 1 course + 12-14 credits for thesis. Thesis progress evaluation.


4th term: 18 credits of thesis. Thesis final examination.



Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering schedule


1st term: 18 credits of courses


At the end of the first term the student will present a preliminary proposal for research and a doctoral committee will be formed.


2nd term: 0-10 credits courses as suggested by the doctoral committee, and 8-18 hours of thesis credits. At the end of the second term the student will take a qualifying examination which will consist of two parts: a written part, and an oral part in which a research proposal will be presented for examination.

If the candidate is unsuccessful in the qualifying exam, one more chance will be given to take the exam.


3rd term onwards : Thesis research.
